Social Studies: We have been learning about Ancient Egypt. This week we will focus on religion and famous people in Ancient Egypt. Students have also started working on the notes and outline for their country report. Students need three separate sources. Pleas make sure to keep track of sources for the bibliography.
ABC of geography will be F this week.
Spelling: The skill this week will be most commonly misspelled homophones. Take Home Tasks will be due on Thursday.
Reading: Students are reading mystery novels. We are discussing red herrings, as well as setting and character traits.
Writing: We will be writing a mystery as well. The Mysteries of Harris Burdick by Chris Van Allsburg is an amazing picture book. Students will chose a picture with no information other than a title and a caption. They will create a story based on what they think the picture is about. These stories will be due next Monday.
Science: My class is leaning all about monerans and viruses with Mrs. Shreeve.
- Missing work notes will come home on Monday. Please sign and return these on Tuesday. Thursday is the last day for late or makeup work.
- SEP notes will come home on Monday as well. Please sign and return ASAP.
- Halloween parade is Thursday at 9:00.
- Halloween party is Thursday at 12:00. Thursday is an early day.
